The members/councilors of Women informal District Assembly (WIDA) presented a Charter of Demand which has been developed after various consultative processesduring the sessions of WIDA and with the consultation of various other social, political and community stakeholders under the project "Strengthening Women Participation
in Democratic Process in Balochistan Pakistan" being implemented by Health And Rural Development (HARD) Balochistan with the support of the National Endowment For Democracy (NED). the members of Women informal District Assembly demands/measures the Government of Balochistan and other authorities.
The pending “Balochistan Child Marriage Prohibition Law must be promulgated on immediate basis to outlaw all kinds of child marriages under 18 years within the province and contribute in Pakistan in achieving 8 out 17 SDGs 2030.The bill has been passed by the Balochistan cabinet but not yet by the Provincial Balochistan Assembly. we would request the government of balochistan to pass the marriage bill from Balochistan assembly as soon as possible.
Local Bodies have been dissolved in the Quetta for many years but the government is not holding the Local Bodies Elections. Consequently, the poor people are suffering and deprived of their rights which ought to be availed at door steps that is why local government election must be held as soon as possible.
