Gilgit-Baltistan receives yet another woman judge, Dr. Saeeda Mirbaz Khan, hailing from Sultanabad, Dayore Gilgit.
After completing her bachelor's degree from the University of Punjab, followed by an LLM from the International Islamic University and a diploma in the Honor Code of Justice from Harvard University in the USA, Dr. Saeeda earned a Ph.D. in Corporate Law, coupled with master's degrees in Political Sciences and Gender Studies.
Simultaneously, she embraced a significant role as an Assistant Professor of Law in colleges and universities in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, shaping future lawyers and contributing through her recognized articles. Engaging in a conscious and active legal practice across various domains, Dr. Saeeda demonstrated versatility. Despite a tempting job offer from a renowned U.S.-based industry, Dr. Saeeda Mirbaz's heart remained tethered to her passion—judiciary.
Moreover, after returning to Pakistan, she assumed a role in the Gilgit Baltistan judiciary, where she was further highlighted by securing the top position in the competitive examination for an open merit seat amidst intense competition. Dr. Saeeda Mirbaz Khan's story resonates with the belief that determination and passion shape one's destiny.
